Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.
Best-selling writer for children and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
A representative for the publisher commented: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the move was taken subsequent to an investigation into claims about inappropriate behaviour directed at female individuals.
The publisher has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."
A Prolific Publishing History
Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies internationally in dozens of tongues.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
Some of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
He has published in excess of 40 works combined, encompassing a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE back in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
